Template coding
Got a design?
Let's say you've already got a design sorted, whether you've made it yourself or you've got another designer to make one for you. How do you make the transition from a static design to a web template? That's where we come in.
We use a combination of XHTML and CSS to turn your design into a working web template, and if you're happy to use one of our recommended CMSs we'll even integrate it for you too. We take care of all the functionality, from drop down menus to button hovers to embedded videos to image galleries, using your design elements to make it looks exactly how you expected it to.
We accept designs in a wide range for formats, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, InDesign, PDF, JPG (or any other popular image format), even Word documents. If you've used another program, let us know and we'll tell you whether we'll be able to open it or not, and can offer advice on how to convert your design to another format.
The end result
You can trust us to provide you with a web template that not only looks great but also works great too. We test our templates thoroughly on a range of browsers and operating systems to ensure that the user experience is dependable and consistent, even on older browsers like IE6. Our coding is validated too, which means it's future-proof.
How much?
As with our other work, template coding is done on an hourly rate, which is currently £35/hr. An average template might take around 3 hours to complete, depending on how complicated the design is and how much functionality needs to be put in (such as image galleries, forms, menus, etc).
