How we make your site

There are four main steps involved in creating a web site from scratch:

  1. Requirements
  2. Design
  3. Implementation
  4. Content

How long each step takes depends how complicated it is, and there may well be further sub-steps in there too.  It's also worth remembering that some of these can happen in parallel - while the content may be influenced in part by the design, we can start working on it almost immediately.

Tools we use to make it happen

Adobe Illustrator

Most of our designs start here.  Working with powerful vector tools gives us infinite control over sizes and shapes, meaning we can tweak things later if you decide there needs to be more room for an extra menu or a sidebar.  When we're happy with the way it looks, we export components to Photoshop.

Adobe Photoshop

This is the industry standard as far as image manipulation goes.  Photoshop offers a range of effects and filters, and allows control of individual pixels with very little effort.  It's an invaluable tool we have at our disposal for making sure everything looks its best.

Adobe Dreamweaver

We tend to steer clear of the WYSIWYG part of this software, preferring instead to code by hand, but this is still a fantastic piece of software, enabling us to create sites speedily and accurately, without getting in the way.
